Updated Catalogue of Industries to Encourage Foreign Investment
The catalogue now lists a total of 1,474 items, which is a net increase of 239 over the 2020 edition of the catalogue. Further modifications were made to 167 items that were already included. The main changes are as follow:
The catalogue will continue to focus on the manufacturing industry as a key industry through which to encourage foreign investment, upgrade the industrial and supply chain, and add or expand items related to components, spare parts, and equipment manufacturing to the list.
The catalogue will continue to guide foreign investment in producer services. It will focus on promoting the integrated development of the service and manufacturing industries and will add or expand items such as professional design, technical services, and development to the list.
The catalogue will continue to optimise regional arrangements for utilising foreign investment and will expand the list of incentives in the central and western regions in light of their comparative advantages in labour force and distinctive resources.
