The site highlights the many opportunities for UK-China tech collaboration, such as technologies for climate change, food security, and training doctors in remote areas. As well as acknowledging the potential for UK tech in China, the site also acknowledges that some specific legal, ethical, and commercial challenges exist for some tech businesses looking to trade with China. The website is designed as a guide to help UK digital and tech businesses to find clear, up-to-date information and specialist support.

CBBC has been working closely with a range of UK government departments and member companies to help ensure the site includes the most up-to-date information and resources for tech and digital firms interested in doing business in China. We welcome this initiative to provide greater clarity and guidance for companies to equip themselves with detailed knowledge about both the opportunities and challenges China presents.

With technology and innovation central to China’s forthcoming 14th Five Year plan, CBBC anticipates significant long-term opportunities for UK tech businesses across a range of industry sectors. We will continue to make a strong case for closer UK-China commercial links in the sector, as well as supporting our members through curated events, roadshows, and tailored market entry support.
