CBBC China Managing Director, Tom Simpson; IPCC Chair, Hugo Zhang; and Tencent Weixin Director of Legal, Ted Wu, delivered the opening remarks.

After the opening remarks, two senior legal counsels from Tencent Weixin, Shuru Chen and Iris Guan, gave introductions to two of the items that were to be addressed at the meeting: New Practice of Weixin Third-party Brand Protection, and Strategy and Practice of Weixin Third-party Copyright Protection, respectively. Ms Chen and Ms Guan answered questions from members and discussed how to better collaborate with rights owners in the future.

CBBC will partner with Alibaba for the next CBBC Member IP Roundtable, scheduled to be taking place in late October or early November 2022.
