JD.com Roundtable & IP Programme Update

CBBC China Managing Director, Tom Simpson, delivered the welcoming remarks, mentioning that the aim of the roundtable is to provide a platform for dialogue between CBBC members and Chinese e-commerce companies, and encouraged UK brands to make use of the opportunities to understand e-commerce platforms’ brand protection mechanisms to protect their IPs in China.
JD.com’s Security and Investigation Department Senior Director, LIU Xiaoning, followed up with the opening remarks. He stressed that despite the impact of the pandemic, JD.com’s operations and support for rights owners would not be affected, and that JD.com would strive to continue working with them and with CBBC members. LIU hopes that rights owners will provide valuable advice on IP protection on JD.com’s platform and that they will work together with JD.com to improve the platform’s regulatory environment.
After LIU’s opening remarks, JD.com’s Deputy Director of Brand Protection, Nora Zhang, gave a comprehensive introduction of JD.com’s IP Protection system, discussed collaboration with IP stakeholders, and answered questions from members.
