The dialogue was attended by representatives invited from China and the UK, including Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles, Chair, CBBC, Gordon Orr, Vice Chair, CBBC, Lewis Neal, HM Trade Commissioner for China, Sir Sebastian Wood, Chairman, China, Schroders Plc; former UK Ambassador to China, as well as Bi Jingquan, Chairman, CCIEE, Wang Yiming, Vice Chairman, CCIEE, Hu Xiaolian, Vice Chairman, CCIEE, Su Wei, Deputy Director, Board of Executives of CCIEE.

CBBC member companies including abrdn, AstraZeneca, Baker Hughes, Clifford Chance, DLA Piper, PwC, RELX, Schroder, Unilever, WBA also participated in this dialogue.

This dialogue, which established the first-ever "track two dialogue" mechanism between the two nations, brought together senior executives from UK and Chinese businesses, former senior Chinese officials, and representatives from academia. It formed a platform for frequent communication and exchange between businesses in the two countries.
