On Friday 31st May, We were delighted to host the Party Secretary of Tongzhou District, Mr Meng Jingwei as well as colleagues from the districts local government bodies. CBBC President, Lord Sassoon and Vice President, Andrew Seaton hosted this along with representatives from CBBC's network such as Emerging Communications, Benoy and Standard Chartered.

Mr Meng and colleagues, explained that Tongzhou has developed the Canal Business Centre which on scale can be compared to Canary Wharf, this already hosts several western businesses as part of the thriving and growing business community in the area. Mr Meng and colleagues highlighted the incentives to the area and rapid development and welcomed all those in attendance to visit the area to see for first hand. He fielded questions about the districts position on opening up and support to businesses in the area.

The session ended with Lord Sassoon and Andrew Seaton, thanking Mr Meng for meeting with CBBC and commitment to supporting western businesses in the area and looks forward to this continuing.
