CBBC Welcomes Ambassador Peter Wilson to Our Beijing Office
On the morning of Tuesday, 2nd September, the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) was delighted to welcome the new UK Ambassador to China, Peter Wilson CMG, to our Beijing office. During the visit, CBBC introduced our current priorities and ongoing work to support UK-China economic ties including the upcoming CIFIT in Xiamen and Chair Handover Visit in November.
The meeting built on the exchange CBBC hosted with Ambassador Wilson in London in mid-July, prior to his arrival in Beijing. CBBC looks forward to working closely with our new Ambassador over the coming months and years to strengthen UK-China ties.
When asked about his message for the UK–China business community, Ambassador Peter Wilson emphasised the importance of proceeding confidently to engage with China, and take advantage of the opportunities for both side. He stressed that the relationship between UK and China should be grounded in pragmatism and mutual respect.
