CBBC visits CASS for UK-China Policy Exchange

The policy exchange included a roundtable with CASS’s European Department Directors and research team as well as other researchers on UK-China bilateral relations from CICIR, CIIS, and CUPL. The discussion covered both political and economic factors relating to UK-China relations.
Tom provided observations from the perspective of British business in China, UK-China trade and investment, as well as outlook for UK-China relations. Meanwhile Andrew Carney shared his insights from his long experience of working with China since 1981, macro geopolitics, and the research he is undertaking at RUSI and UKNCC.
Feng Zhongping, Director of the Institute of European Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, chaired the roundtable and concluded by saying the session had been a fruitful for furthering understanding in the mid-term development of UK-China relations.
