CBBC Speaks at Roundtable with Secretary of State Thérèse Coffey
The China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) participated in a roundtable discussion with Thérèse Coffey, the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs on 9th November in Shanghai. Attending the meeting were CBBC's Chief Commercial Officer Claire Urry and member companies including Santander, AHDB, Taylors of Harrogate, Whittard of Chelsea, Jakemans, Holland & Barrett, Cranswick, Pilgrims and Karro.
During the roundtable, the participanting companies shared their experiences and development in the China market, as well as discussed various issues that Defra could continue to support with, including market access and in-market trade activities .
"CBBC will continue to help UK companies understand the changing dynamics and tastes of the Chinese consumer. Meanwhile, overcoming market access restrictions in China remains a priority for the CBBC and today’s roundtable provided an important opportunity to engage with a Cabinet Minister on a range of such issues. "said Claire Urry.
