CBBC’s China Committee (‘C2’ for short) launched in 2021 and consists of China-based Member representatives from a wide range of industries. C2 acts as a forum for Members to provide strategic-level input to CBBC’s work in China.
C2 operates as a Committee of the CBBC Board under Article 11 of the CBBC Articles of Association. Its core purpose and role is to:
- Convene senior-level representatives from Member companies to share and discuss matters of importance to British business in China
- Provide strategic guidance for CBBC’s work in China including identifying market opportunities for British companies, trade policy and market access, Government relations, and other matters relating to the operating environment for business
- Contribute to the shaping of CBBC’s reports, publications, flagship events and other key campaigns in China
- Provide a pool of senior Member Representatives to represent CBBC at events and meetings
