18/08/2025
The China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), as a key international partner of 7th Grand Canal Culture and Tourism Expo, organised a collective showcase of four UK member companies. The exhibits spanned diverse fields including creative arts, food, and sustainable fashion technology, highlighting the unique blend of British innovation and traditional culture, making them one of the focal points of the event.

The 7th Grand Canal Culture and Tourism Expo, hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, was held at the Suzhou International Expo Center from Fri-Sun, 15-17 August 2025. This year's expo brought together participants from 35 countries and regions worldwide, attracting over 160,000 visitors.

CBBC Members showcasing the products were:

Whittard of Chelsea

Whittard of Chelsea is a British beverage brand founded in 1886 that sells not only premium teas, but also coffee and hot chocolate drinks.

Denby

Denby is a well-known British porcelain brand founded in 1809 with a history of more than 200 years, featuring handmade porcelain.

SEPTEM

SEPTEM is a sports brand founded in the UK, adheres to "global design + intelligent manufacturing in China", and has an industrial base in Nanjing.

Jakemans

Established in 1907, Jakemans specialise in quality menthol based confectionery.

This exhibition has built a display window for British brands for mass consumers, and we look forward to using cultural tourism as a link to deepen the linkage of industrial resources between China and the UK, and jointly build a new picture of sustainable development.

This participation provided British brands with a direct platform to engage with Chinese consumers. CBBC look forward to leveraging culture and tourism as a bridge to deepen industrial collaboration between China and the UK.
