Acclime announces strategic acquisition of OCRA Worldwide
Asia Pacific’s premier corporate services provider, Acclime, announces that it has completed the strategic acquisition of OCRA Worldwide (OCRA). This is the latest step in Acclime’s active expansion as the Asia specialist in compliance and corporate services throughout the region.
OCRA will operate as an independent business unit within Acclime, supported by funding, IT and marketing initiatives that will grow the business further. Bart Dekker and Dharmesh Naik will remain running the business post-acquisition.
Focus SB’s Managing Director Gary Stevens is appointed Export Champion
Focus SB’s managing director Gary Stevens is appointed Export Champion as part of the Department for International Trade's (DIT) Export Champions programme for 2022/23.
This year Mr Stevens accepted an invitation for the role to be extended for a 2nd year in light of the pandemic, saying: “I am delighted to accept the Export Champion role in recognition of the contribution Focus SB makes towards the South East’s economic growth."
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants officially debuted in China
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, IHG's luxury boutique hotel brand, officially debuted in China on October 27, 2022. The brand specially invited famous actress Ms. Betty Sun and Mr. Daniel Aylmer, Managing Director of IHG Greater China, to attend the brand launch ceremony. "The Kimpton brand will further consolidate IHG's brand matrix and competitiveness in the luxury and boutique hotel category, and continue to provide customers with high quality and highly personalized travel time," said Daniel Aylmer. The launch of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants marks the beginning of IHG's new journey in China.
International experience and graduate employability: international employer and student perspectives
The project - International experience and graduate employability: international employer and student perspectives is funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC). This project aims to investigate the perspectives of Chinese employers and students on how study abroad experiences contribute to graduates’ employability. It intends to bridge the gaps between the requirements of employers and the graduate skills promoted by the university and obtained by Chinese students in the UK.
We would therefore like to invite Chinese employers to participate in our consultation meetings. The consultation meeting could increase employers’ visibility to the students at the University of Sheffield; better understand the graduate skills promoted by UK universities; and express recruitment requirements to us.
