CBBC Member Delegation Visits Daxing District

Senior officials from Daxing District led by the Vice District Chief, WU Meng, met with CBBC’s group and gave a comprehensive introduction of Daxing District covering the district’s general profile, development plan, incentives, policies, and services. During his opening speech at the dialogue, Wu ardently expressed willingness for Daxing District to engage and collaborate with CBBC and its member companies.

Tom Simpson, Managing Director of CBBC China, responded in his speech that CBBC has been at the heart of UK-China trade for nearly 70 years. On September 1st of this year, CBBC was officially listed by Invest Beijing as one of its eight global partners for investment promotion. Daxing District has been a focus of CBBC members in Beijing, and CBBC is willing and ready to assist both its member companies and Daxing District to further pursue opportunities for business and cooperation in the district, particularly in the sectors where the UK is world-leading, such as in health care and life sciences, advanced manufacturing, energy, and the environment.

During the dialogue, representatives from visiting members gave introductions of their own businesses and expressed their expectations with regards to future cooperation with Daxing District.

Before the dialogue, representatives of CBBC and member companies conducted site visits to the Daxing Airport Economic Zone Innovation Center and the Daxing Hydrogen Energy Pilot Zone.
