CBBC Launches International Leadership Programme for Architecture and Development Industry (ILPADI)

The ILPADI launch ceremony was held on 10th November 2022 at the British Centre in Shanghai. Tom Simpson, Managing Director of CBBC China, made opening remarks to celebrate the successful launch of the programme. Representatives from participating partner organisations attended the event and made speeches to introduce the objectives of the programme and the training contents.
During the launch ceremony, RIBA officially announced the launch of Lin-gang – RIBA International Talent Hub and its strategic partnership with BSI to serve the Chinese industrial market.
ILPADI aims to promote the international leadership of industry talents, enable innovation research and development capability, and develop social responsibility in the industry. The programme will feature a series of events from February 2023 onwards, engaging experts, architects and business leaders in the architecture and development industry with the goal of promoting cooperation and development of vocational education and qualifications between China and the UK.
ILPADI will also support Lin-gang Special Area to position itself as an important ‘talent harbour’ for gathering industry talents at home and abroad to carry out international innovation and collaboration.
Highlights of the launch event included two panel discussions which explored global industry trends and structural upgrades, as well as practices in the China market. Guest speakers from Savills, ARUP, Hang Lung Properties, CBGE, and Chinese design institutes presented a high-level discussion and gave constructive comments to young architects and professionals in attendance.
Representatives from leading companies in the architecture industry, including Atkins, BDP, CSCEC, Zhonglian Group and many others attended the launch ceremony.
The first session under the programme will commence from February and March 2023.
