CBBC Hosts Delegation from the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong in Beijing
On 27th August, CBBC welcomed a delegation from the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong at our Beijing office for a discussion. The dialogue focused on connectivity between the UK, mainland China, and Hong Kong, as well as the development of business districts within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The previous day, on Wednesday 26th August, CBBC met with officials at the People’s Bank of China together with representatives from the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
The discussion covered many topics including RMB internationalisation, enhancing the Bond and Wealth Management Connect schemes, and the development of risk management markets. The conversation was very constructive with technical solutions raised on how to increase activity between markets.
CBBC updated the participants on recent projects, including the opening of the UK-China Business and Innovation Hub in Suzhou and its work to promote trade in services between the UK and China.
