CBBC Hosts Appreciation Receptions for HMA Dame Caroline Wilson

On May 22 and 27, the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) held appreciation receptions for HM Ambassador Dame Caroline Wilson DCMG, in Shanghai and Beijing respectively. The two events were attended by CBBC Chair Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles, Vice Chair Sir Sebastian Wood, Chief Executive Peter Burnett OBE, HM Trade Commissioner for China Lewis Neal, British Consul-General in Shanghai Matt Burney, and CBBC Managing Director for China Tom Simpson, and over 150 representatives from the UK and Chinese business communities.


Mr Peter Wilson CMG has been appointed His Majesty’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China in succession to Dame Caroline Wilson DCMG, who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Mr Wilson will take up his appointment during August 2025.
