CBBC hosts and gives keynote speech at Fujian-UK Investment Conference
With over 60 people in the audience (no mean feat at the height of the summer holidays!), we had an opportunity to hear from government officials and businesses from the region.

The keynote speeches were kicked off by Mr Teng Jiacai, Chairman of Fujian, Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, who highlighted the Economic performance of Fujian Province, in particular that it has the 2nd highest GDP-per capita after Jiangsu, nationwide. He stated that Fujian are committed to to building a strong business landscape for foreign businesses and Chinese businesses alike.

Peter Burnett, CEO, China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), delivered opening remarks on CBBC's relationship with China and Fujian province in particular.
"You will all know that the United Kingdom is the Country of Honour at this year’s CIFIT and it is indeed our honour to enjoy such a high profile position in this very important Trade and Investment Fair.
Fujian has a dynamic economy that is interesting to UK companies, with particular focus on electronics, textiles, agriculture, and advanced manufacturing."
Our guests also had opportunity to hear from Pru Ashby, London & Partners, Stephanie Betant, HSBC,, Juhos Lorant, CATL and Lu QInyang from Zongteng Group, who provided some real examples of how businesses have developed in the respective countries as well as future opportunities.
The conference was bought to a close with a networking session, allowing for free flowing conversation with speakers and attendees alike.
