Tom Simpson, Managing Director and Chief Representative in China, CBBC, delivered an opening remark highlighting that the dialogue comes as the Shanghai lockdown nears the two-month mark and that case numbers have been steadily dropping, signaling the beginning of the end of this current outbreak. CBBC members are focusing away from the initial steps that had to be taken during the lockdown and shifting more towards recovery and getting their business back up and running as normal. With the support of the Shanghai Municipal Government, the UK business community looks forward to ensuring that the recovery process goes smoothly and safely over the coming weeks and months.
