CBBC Chair's Visit to China Kicks Off in Shanghai
The Chair of CBBC, Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles, accompanied by a delegation of senior executives from British business commenced a week-long visit to China on Monday, 13 May in Shanghai. The visit will then head to Hangzhou before arriving in Beijing for three days of activity including meetings with Chinese Government leaders, CBBC’s 70-Year Gala Dinner, the inaugural UK-China Track Two Economic Dialogue, as well as other activity to engage CBBC Members and stakeholders.
During their one-day stay in Shanghai, Sir Sherard and the delegation had a busy programme which included breakfast with the Consul General of Shanghai, a roundtable discussion with senior representatives from CBBC members, a briefing on China's economy with three leading economists, a chair visit reception, as well as a visit to Trip.com Group.
