CBBC Chair Visit: Summary of Chengdu and Chongqing Programme
The China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) Chair and Chief Executive continued their visit with a CBBC 70-Year Anniversary Reception on Tuesday, 19 November, held at the Residence of the British Consul-General in Chongqing. Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles, Chair of CBBC, Peter Burnett, Chief Executive of CBBC, and Anthony Preston, HM Consul-General in Chongqing, attended the event and delivered speeches.
Chengdu & Chongqing Programme
During their visit to Chengdu and Chongqing, Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles and Peter Burnett, accompanied by a delegation of members, held meetings with the Sichuan Party Secretary and the Chengdu Party Secretary. The programme also featured roundtable discussions, visits to Sichuan Financial Holdings and SERES Automotive, and CBBC 70th Anniversary Dinner.
Meeting with Sichuan Party Secretary
Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles met with Sichuan Provincial Party Secretary Wang Xiaohui on Monday, 18 November, in Chengdu. Chengdu Party Secretary Cao Lijun was also in attendance.
Meeting with Sichuan Financial Holdings
Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles and Peter Burnett visited Sichuan Financial Holdings (SFH), where they met with Zhou Xingyun, Party Secretary and Chairman of SFH, and Lu Chibin, Director and President of SFH.
