On May 23, 2025, Boundless Matro Boutique Village celebrated another significant milestone with the official opening of its UK Pavilion. Following the successful launches of the Japan, Italy, Australia & New Zealand, and Korea Pavilions, the UK Pavilion is the latest addition to this series of internationally themed spaces. The UK Pavilion at Boundless Matro Boutique Village was specially designed by Shed, a renowned interior design studio based in London.

From Craghoppers’ professional outdoor gear to Harry Potter-themed apparel, this zone celebrates a new wave of urban exploration. Ethical fashion brands like Bottletop and TogetherBands—developed in partnership with the United Nations—enhance the experience with their unique designs and craftsmanship. These brands highlight British fashion’s distinctive blend of style and sustainability.

The pavilion also includes The Garden Room, styled as a secluded English garden retreat. Inspired by traditional British gardens, shoppers can find Holland & Barrett’s natural herbal supplements. Alongside this you find botanical care products from Kew Gardens and Molton Brown.

At the heart of the experience is a quintessentially British afternoon tea area, reminiscent of a historic London tearoom, where century-old Whittard of Chelsea brand and exquisite bone china, As we exit this area this makes ay for The Library, a home gallery that captures the essence of British interior aesthetics. Boundless Matro Boutique Village has been revitalized from 22 vintage warehouses originally built in the 1950s. Covering a land area of 25,000 square meters with a building area of 17,000 square meters, it is situated in the heart of Suzhou’s historic center. The village is surrounded by the ancient city wall and is located near iconic landmarks such as the Humble Administrator’s Garden and the Suzhou Museum. It enjoys a strategic position in one of the city’s most vibrant tourist districts.

Boundless Matro is a major innovative project developed independently by Suzhou Function Group Co., Ltd. It follows years of investment and research in new digital technologies. It has created a completely new shopping experience by pioneering a groundbreaking “third shopping model” that transcends traditional offline and online shopping concepts. By combining the convenience and wide reach of online shopping with the advantages of offline physical experiences and services, Boundless Matro overcomes the limitations of both models. Through its mobile app, customers can browse stores in immersive VR and select products for direct purchase with home delivery. They can also initiate a video call to connect with the store’s Boundless devices, where staff will provide live demonstrations and product introductions. This allows customers to enjoy an immersive shopping experience anytime, anywhere.
