CBBC and Nanjing Join Forces on a Promotional Event in London
Nanjing Party Secretary Han Liming thanked the London community for its support of Nanjing-UK cooperation. She highlighted the city's advantages and investment policies, stating that "Nanjing is eager to collaborate with British businesses, leveraging our strengths in industry support, talent pool, opening-up policies, and green development, to jointly create a model for economic and trade cooperation between China and the UK."
H.E. Ambassador Zheng Zeguang, Chinese Ambassador to the UK, said that Nanjing and the UK have a lot of potential for collaboration in a variety of fields, including financial services, biomedicine, advanced manufacturing, new energy, and the creative industry. Nanjing is a hub for international cooperation and investment. To foster mutually beneficial cooperation, the Chinese Embassy in the UK will promote the communication and exchanges between the business communities of China and the UK.
Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles, Chair of China-Britain Business Council, highlighted CBBC's long-term engagement with Nanjing. "Nanjing is a major hub for research and education, and home to more than 5,000 foreign businesses, including more than 100 Fortune Global 500 companies. We hope to continue to grow and develop our engagement with this extraordinary city, particularly by encouraging outbound investment from its businesses," he stated.
CBBC member companies, including Jardine Matheson, Deloitte, DLA Piper, PwC, HSBC, IHG, Standard Chartered, E&Y, WPP, and King's College London, participated in this event.
