CBBC and Anhui Join Forces on a Promotional Event in London

Companies and financial institution representatives, including those from Unilever and Standard Chartered Bank, discussed their experiences with investments and expansion in Anhui. The cities of Wuhu and Chuzhou highlighted important industries and investment initiatives. This event was hosted by the People's Government of Anhui Province, organised by the Anhui Provincial Department of Commerce, and supported by the China-Britain Business Council, the China Chamber of Commerce in the UK.
Governor Wang Qingxian highlighted in his speech that there is a solid foundation and promising future for trade and investment cooperation between China and the UK, which have a long history of friendly relations. Anhui has actively encouraged collaboration and exchanges between China and the UK throughout history, in the present, and into the future. The Anhui Investment Promotion Event in London aims to promote a situation of win - win and cooperative development by fostering stronger open cooperation, facilitating in-depth business community exchanges, and expanding cooperation in areas like industry, technology, investment, and talent.
The delegation from Anhui Province was welcomed by Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles, chair of the China-Britain Business Council. He said that despite the challenges facing the world economy this year, China and the UK are both committed to expanding their collaboration. The visit of this delegation not only improves economic and trade ties but also expands opportunities for richer interpersonal, educational, and cultural interactions.
