British Business at the Forefront of China Development Forum
China-Britain Business Council President Lord Sassoon, Vice Chair Gordon Orr, and Managing Director, China, Tom Simpson, attended this year’s China Development Forum (CDF) between 23-25 March in Beijing.
Around 85 global CEO/Chair-level representatives were in town for this year’s CDF with 12 from the UK including CBBC member companies AstraZeneca, Deloitte, GSK, HSBC, Prudential, PwC, Rio Tinto, Shell, Standard Chartered Bank, and Swire.
Premier Li Qiang Attends the Opening Ceremony of CDF
China’s Premier Li Qiang opened the forum on Sunday morning at Diaoyutai to the audience of business leaders and officials from across the Chinese Government.
This year’s forum covered a wide range of themes including the global economic outlook, AI, digital and low carbon. Alongside the main forum were a series of roundtable hosted by different Chinese Ministries and regulators including MOHURD, NHC and PBoC.
