CBBC Annual Dinners Shanghai (Sep.) & Beijing (Nov)

CBBC’s signature annual dinners will take place again in 2023 with events in both Shanghai & Beijing. The dinners are an opportunity for CBBC and our members to thank our partners in Government and business for their support and celebrate trade and investment ties between our two countries.

Greater Bay Area Conference (Nov.)

A new addition to CBBC’s annual calendar, our GBA Conference will take place in Shenzhen in November. The conference will explore a range of cores themes critical to British business in the region including financial services, digital and technology, education, and infrastructure.

UK-China CEO Conference (March 2024)

CBBC’s second new conference in 2023-24 will be our UK-China CEO Conference which will be held in Shanghai in March 2024. The Conference will explore the strategies being deployed by British companies and their Chinese counterparts to succeed in China and across Asia. Core themes which will be explored during the one-day event include consumption, finance, digital & technology, and education.

Government Affairs Programme

CBBC’s aim throughout 2023-24 will be to provide our members with the opportunity to engage at all levels of Government in China from districts and zones up to national-level Ministries and State Council. Our Government Affairs Programme is designed to provide CBBC members with a channel to raise questions and recommendations regarding FDI, market access, as well as measures to improve the business environment.

Regional Dialogues 

CBBC will also continue to engage with economically important regions and cities nationwide through an expanded UK Business Dialogue programme with regional government. In 2023-24 we will cover the following cities and provinces: 

• Municipal: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing

• Provincial: Jiangsu, Guangdong, Hainan, Zhejiang, Sichuan
