The China-Britain Business Council is delighted to announce the launch of its 3rd UK Superbrand Day in partnership with Little Red Book and Taobao Live.

Livestreaming e-commerce, the hottest trend in China’s consumer sector is now a must have consideration for UK brands selling online in this dynamic market. According to Forbes magazine, in 2019 approximately 37% of the online shoppers in China – an incredible 265 million - made livestream purchases. Alibaba’s livestreaming platform, Taobao Live, hosted China’s annual Singles-Day Global Shopping Festival in November 2020, generating £4.3 billion in sales from livestreams alone – twice the amount of the previous year.

After receiving lots of positive feedback from participating brands we are very excited to announce that a third UK Superbrand Day of live-streaming sessions will take place on the 23rd of April, on Day-5 of CBBC’s UK-China Consumer Week.

Four KOL package tiers have been outlined to cater to UK brands of all shapes and sizes. This livestreaming programme is open to all UK consumer brands selling online in China, with discounts for CBBC member:

  1. The above-listed cost is in RMB and applies to each Option Service Package. An additional 6% VAT will be added.
  2. Participating brands will pay a 20% sales commission directly to the KOL.
  3. The Basic Option will provide two livestreaming sessions on Little Red Book only.
  4. The Standard Option will provide one livestreaming session on Little Red Book and one on Taobao Live.
