Morrison Cleaver, Policy Analyst, China-Britain Business Council

Morrison Cleaver is the China-Britain Business Council's Beijing-based Policy Analyst. He is responsible for tracking UK-China relations with a focus on business, monitoring national-level Chinese policies impacting UK-China trade and investment, and supporting the council's government affairs work in Beijing. Morrison completed his undergraduate degree in Chinese Studies at the University of Cambridge and last year graduated from Peking University with a master's degree in Politics and IR.

Ran Guo leads CBBC’s China Consumer team to provide business support services to UK companies. She specialises in connecting British consumer brands with Chinese importers and distributors and leads CBBC’s consumer sector’s business development work in China. Ran has extensive insights into the fast-paced consumer industry in China. Before taking on the role of Director, Ran worked for four years as Assistant Director and the food & drink sector lead. Ran holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alberta, Canada.

Prior to joining CBBC, Ran worked in the consulting industry in Shanghai and Beijing for six years, where she developed her specialisms in primary market research, company due diligence, and competition intelligence analysis. Ran has excellent research skills and a thorough understanding of the various obstacles international companies face when entering the China market.
