China CEO Outlook
Over the course of the pandemic KPMG has conducted three surveys of over 1,300 CEOs to understand their views on the impact of COVID-19 on their businesses and the broader economy. Join us for this webinar as Mark Harrison of KPMG China, outlines the key takeaways from the survey results of 125 CEOs polled in China.
This webinar will delve into what China’s CEOs are focused on to drive growth in their organizations and how this compares to their global counterparts. Some of the key themes explored include views on, the global economic outlook; future of work; role of technology in driving growth; growing importance of CSR in China; ESG, supply chain issues; international tax reform; and more.
Select findings include:
- Economic Outlook: Despite that the global economic recovery is still facing uncertainty with the spread of the new Delta variant, China’s CEOs are optimistic in the country’s economic growth and corporate development, and their confidence has surpassed the pre-pandemic levels.
- Key risks: China’s CEOs identify three areas they see as top threats to growth: reputation/brand risk, environmental/climate change risk, and supply chain risk.
- The future of work: Twenty-six percent of China’s CEOs plan to or have already downsized their physical footprint or office space, a distinct fall from 80 percent during the pandemic.
