China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) is pleased to invite CBBC members to join a joint delegation of the UK-China CEO Council and CBBC to visit Ningbo and Hangzhou from Tuesday 27th July to Thursday 29th July to strengthen links between the UK and Zhejiang.

The CEO Council was established during former UK Prime Minister Theresa May’s state visit to China in 2018. During the visit, China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) invited the UK delegation to take part in a bilateral business dialogue to enhance UK-China business collaboration and created the CEO Council.

The visit is supported by MOFCOM, the Department of International Trade (DIT), the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), the China International Contractors Association (CHINCA), and CBBC. The delegation will be led by Mr YU Yuantang, Deputy Director General of the Department of European Affairs, MOFCOM, together with senior representatives from DIT, CBI, and CHINCA, as well as senior business representatives from the CEO Council and CBBC.

A tentative programme can be found below, and the final programme and hotel booking information will be shared upon registration.

27th July

Delegates arrive in Ningbo & check in to the designated hotel (Delegates to cover their travel costs and hotel accommodation fee in Ningbo)

 

28th July

  • 07:45  Hotel check-out;
  • 08:00  Travel to the University of Nottingham Ningbo China by coach;
  • 08:30  UK-China CEO Council Working Meeting & UK-China Business Green Development Forum;
  • 10:45  Meeting with the University of Nottingham Ningbo and campus tour;
  • 12:15  Working lunch at the main campus of the University of Nottingham Ningbo;
  • 13:15  Travel to Tengtou Village, Fenghua;
  • 14:00  Visit Tengtou Village, Fenghua (national ecology township);
  • 16:00  Travel to Hangzhou by coach;
  • 18:30 Delegates arrive in Hangzhou & check in to the designated hotel (Delegates to cover their hotel accommodation fee in Hangzhou)

 

29th July

  • 09:00 Site visit to Geely Group Headquarters in Hangzhou;
  • 10:45  Visit Binjing District/Hangzhou Hi-Tech Zone;
  • 12:00  Working lunch at Binjiang District;
  • Afternoon: Travel back to Beijing.
