British Business Briefing Shanghai 2019 Q4

CBBC Event

December 06

2019 has been an eventful year and we are now approaching the years end. At CBBC’s final quarterly briefing of 2019 we will be reviewing recent developments in UK-China bilateral relations and the Chinese economy. More importantly, we will be looking ahead and analysing how bilateral relations and the Chinese economy might evolve next year. With GDP growth at 6.2% in the first three quarters this year, the Chinese economy remains under pressure. Will the Chinese economy bottom out in 2020? How will the on-going US-China trade dispute impact the economy?

We have invited the Consul of Business Environment from British Consulate-General Shanghai to give an update on the UK-China state of affairs and an expert from The Economist to give an outlook of the Chinese economy in 2020.

The briefing will be held at, CBBC Premium Member, EY’s office in the Shanghai World Financial Centre in Lujiazui. We warmly welcome you to join us and look forward to seeing you.

RSVP: Send email to Margery.sun@cbbc.org.cn

The British Business Briefing series runs every quarter and is designed to update you on important policy changes, economic trends, and high-level visits that affect British businesses in China. As well as CBBC’s senior team and our strategic partners in both the British and Chinese governments, we will also be joined by representatives of the devolved administrations and other government bodies. This allows the briefings to act as a channel of dialogue between businesses and governments. Please note that this is most suitable for Director-level and above to attend.
