House of Commons Business and Trade Committee Call for Evidence: China and the UK Economy
CBBC welcomes the opportunity to provide evidence to the Business and Trade Committee’s inquiry on China and the UK economy. Our over 300 member companies represent a diverse array of British industry, and include representatives worth 50% of the FTSE 100’s total market cap. China plays a significant role in the global business operations of our members: as a market, a supplier for production and R&D, and as a source of profits and dividends. CBBC engages across both the UK and China to help our members to secure the greatest possible benefits from business relations with China.
Our submission focuses on the prize to be gained from deeper economic engagement with China. We hope our submission is a positive contribution to shaping the conversation around the benefits to be derived from this engagement.
