CBBC joins ICBC London Branch pavilion at China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE)

event
25/06/2026
On Monday, 22 June, the China Britain Business Council (CBBC) was delighted to join the ICBC London Branch pavilion at China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), showcasing our long standing partnership supporting companies across both directions of the UK–China investment corridor.

At the UK Salon, CBBC and ICBC introduced the UK investment environment and policies, exchanged market opportunities, and promoted two way economic, trade, and investment cooperation.

CISCE: A Global Platform for Supply Chain Dialogue

As the world’s first high‑level supply‑chain exhibition, hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), CISCE also offers a platform for government‑business engagement. It has now become a major global platform for discussing the future of supply chains and international cooperation.

Kiran Patel, Senior Director Commercial & Deputy Head, China, and Mark Xu, Director Industrial Economy, shared the latest developments in UK–China trade. We were also delighted to be joined by Hu Fang, General Manager of ICBC London Branch and Zhang Huijuan, Chief Representative of CCPIT in the UK.

ICBC plays a vital role in cross border finance, RMB settlement, and supply chain finance, while CCPIT has made significant contributions to business engagement, policy communication, and market connectivity. Together, we are helping to strengthen UK-China trade and supply chain collaboration.

CBBC recently published our trade tracker which delves into the importance of this trading relationship.

UK–China economic cooperation is entering an important new phase. In September 2025,  UK Secretary of State, The Rt Hon Peter Kyle MP, and China’s Commerce Minister Wang Wentao held the Joint Economic and Trade Commission (JETCO) trade talks for the first time in seven years. We look forward to the next JETCO meeting, which will provide further opportunities for policy dialogue and practical cooperation between the two countries.

At the same time, CBBC will launch our Export Booster Programme, together with ICBC and other partners. The programme will help UK companies strengthen their China facing capabilities and identify new growth opportunities in green development, advanced manufacturing, and services.

Whether through CISCE, the resumption of JETCO, or our deepening partnerships, UK–China supply chain cooperation is moving to a higher and more strategic level. We look forward to building stronger, more open, and more resilient UK–China supply chains, creating opportunities for our business constituents.
