UK–China Industrial Co-operation Partnership (ICP) Conference

The event will be jointly organised by the CBBC and the Centre for International Economic and Technological Cooperation of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (CIETC), under the guidance of the British Embassy in Beijing and the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The conference aims to put into practice the conclusions of the 11th China-UK Economic and Financial Dialogue on deepening the industry-led UK-China Industrial Cooperation Partnership (ICP).
Background:
Chinese Vice-Premier He Lifeng and British Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves co-chaired the 11th China-UK Economic and Financial Dialogue held in Beijing on Jan 11, 2025. Both sides believe that developing a consistent, lasting and mutually respectful relationship between the two countries is strategically significant and advantageous for both China and the UK, as they are major economies and financial powers in the world and permanent members of the UN Security Council.
Both sides support deepening the industry-led UK-China Industrial Cooperation Partnership (ICP). The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT) and the Department for Business and Trade of the UK (DBT) will hold the 2nd UK-China Industrial Cooperation Dialogue at an appropriate time. Both sides agree to continue to exchange views on industrial policy, and to strengthen dialogue on standards, regulations and policies in the fields of automobiles, green and low carbon development, and the digital economy.
Agenda
