UK Brand Design, Cultural Innovation & Intangible Heritage Mission
This one-week UK–China mission is designed for UK consumer brands seeking to build meaningful cultural relevance, creative differentiation, and future commercial opportunities in the China market.
The programme brings together UK brands, Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) practitioners, next-generation designers, creative agencies, and industry stakeholders across three of China’s most influential cities - Hangzhou, Suzhou, and Shanghai. Through curated visits, co-creation sessions, and expert-led discussions, participating brands will gain first-hand insight into how Chinese cultural heritage is being reinterpreted for contemporary consumers and how these elements can be translated into market-ready design and storytelling assets.
Designed as a practical and commercially focused programme, the mission enables brands to develop China-relevant creative concepts, strengthen cultural understanding, and build valuable relationships with potential partners, institutions, and industry leaders without requiring immediate market entry commitments.
This mission is ideally suited to design-led and premium UK consumer brands across fashion, accessories, jewellery, home and lifestyle, beauty, and premium gifting categories that are exploring China as a growth market or seeking to refine their localisation strategy.
Ideal participants include Creative Directors, Heads of Design, Brand Directors, Marketing Leads, International Development Managers, and other roles involved in product development, brand storytelling, or China strategy.
Places are limited to ensure a high-quality, collaborative experience.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
