Santander China trade mission: health, wellness, and sustainable F&D

China has a long tradition of health-conscious consumption, which has continued to evolve during the country's rapid modernisation over recent decades. The increasing pressures of hectic urban lifestyles has resulted in a renewed demand for products that can act as a counterbalance and help maintain a healthy body and mind. Meanwhile, China’s new generation of consumers are increasingly placing value on products with strong sustainability credentials when making purchasing decisions.
We’re therefore pleased to announce a programme of activity that will support UK food and drink brands with strong health, wellness, and sustainability credentials reach new buyers and raise the profile of their brand in the Chinese market.
The programme will consist of two stages:
- Stage one:
UK based group workshop to equip brands with the right knowledge and skills to prepare for the Chinese market.
Bespoke guidance on finding unique brand and product USP to attract Chinese consumers.
Preparation for meetings with buyers and distributors.
- Stage two
Trade mission to China from 6 to 8 November 2023 that will include market briefings, buyer meetings, retail store visits, receptions, trade show visits, and an opportunity to exhibit at Food & Hospitality China (FHC) from 8 to 10 November.

- Nutritional, functional, and better-for-you food and drink.
- Free-from.
- Organic food and drink.
- Nutritional infant food and supplements.
- Beauty foods, vitamins, and supplements.
- Nutritional ingredient suppliers.
- Any other food and drink products with strong health or sustainability credentials.
