About the Speaker

Philippa Jones is a leading regulatory and trade policy specialist and founder of CHINA POLICY (Beijing, 2011). She advises public, private, and non-profit clients across sectors - from the macroeconomy to agriculture, energy, and health — bringing a long-term, cross-sectoral view of China’s policy trajectory.
Since 2015, she has led the European Commission’s PRC legislative and regulatory monitoring programme, EUCLERA. Her two decades in Beijing include senior advisory roles at the EU-China Trade Project and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, including four years as a trade policy specialist at the Australian Embassy.
Philippa holds an honours degree in Chinese and Economics from the University of Oxford.
