Jessie Ye

Based in Shenzhen, China, Jessie is an Associate Director in Hawksford’s global business development team. Her primary focus is fostering foreign direct investment (FDI) and overseas direct investment (ODI) in China. In her role, Jessie is responsible for supporting Chinese companies in their global expansion efforts, helping them establish companies in various jurisdictions and providing ongoing services. She also assists foreign companies looking to enter the Chinese market, offering invaluable guidance and support. Jessie is fluent in Mandarin, English and Cantonese. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stephanie Yan

Stephanie Yan began her legal career at Simmons & Simmons LLP in 2009, where she developed significant expertise in corporate matters. Currently, she leads the Corporate Service Department at Hawksford China, providing a comprehensive range of consulting services related to the entire process of entity formation for international clients. Stephanie also has solid experience in company restructuring. Since 2017, Stephanie has also served as in-house legal counsel and data protection officer for Hawksford China.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shelley Xie

Mrs. Shelley Xie is recognised as a leading foreign-related lawyer listed in both the All China Lawyers Association and the Guangdong Lawyers Association. She is also a Registered Foreign Lawyer in England and Wales.

Shelley graduated from the School of Law at City University of Hong Kong and has been practicing since 2006. She currently serves as Vice Director of the Cross-Strait Legal Research Center of the Guangdong Lawyers Association and is a member of its Cross-Border Dispute Law Committee.

She has extensive experience advising on foreign investment, market exit and corporate restructuring projects in China. Shelley has also appeared as a expert witness on Chinese law before the High Court of Hong Kong and serves as an arbitrator and mediator for several domestic arbitration and commercial mediation institutions.

Her representative cases have been featured in publications such as “Guangdong Foreign-Related Lawyer Talents” and the “2014-2018 Compliation of Typical Foreign-Related Cases in Guangdong”. Several of her cases have received industry recognition, including the Third Prize for the Outstanding Legal Services in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (2019-2022), Yingke Law Firm’s National Top Ten Foreign-Related Legal Service Cases (2024) and the Excellent Foreign-Related Legal Service Case Award from Futian District, Shenzhen (2023). Notably, her work on a U.S. SDN economic sanctions case and on China-Hong Kong cross-border M&A transactions has been recognised by Xinhua net and China University of Political Science and Law as a “2024 Legal Service Overseas Practice Cases”.
