Managing Alumni Networks in China - CBBC Member Only Event
Dr Liucheng Guo is an alumnus of Peking University who represents a new generation of Chinese innovators building their careers in the UK. He began his UK academic journey in 2012, pursuing a PhD at Imperial College London, and went on to co-found TG0, becoming one of the early pioneers to apply embedded AI in sensing technologies more than a decade ago.
As an active member of the Peking University Alumni Association UK (PKUAA-UK)—a vibrant community connecting 1000+ alumni across academia, industry, and culture—Dr Guo founded the Association’s first Innovation and Enterprise Group, creating a new pathway for UK oversea students to bridge research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the UK. Through this platform, he supports early-career entrepreneurs, fosters cross-border collaboration, and helps translate academic ideas into impactful technologies.
Over the past decade, Dr Guo has achieved significant recognition in innovation and entrepreneurship, receiving both the Industrial Fellowship and SME Leader Award from the Royal Academy of Engineering. His company, TG0, has been recognised as part of Tech Nation’s Future Fifty 2025 cohort of future UK unicorns and was officially launched at 10 Downing Street, where Dr Guo was invited to meet the UK Prime Minister.
