China’s Technology Revolution: New Energy Vehicles (NEVs)
For the first time, China's retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles surpassed those of fuel-powered vehicles in July 2024. Statistics show that in July 2024, the Chinese passenger vehicle market had a retail volume of 1.720 million, comprising 878,000 new energy vehicles and 840,000 conventional fuel vehicles. Also, China became the first nation in the world to produce 10 million new energy vehicles annually on 14th November 2024. Experts predict that by the end of 2024, China will produce more than 12 million new energy vehicles annually.
