CBBC is delighted to host Samuel Stone, Intellectual Property attaché in the British Embassy Beijing. In his role Samuel is tasked with engaging Chinese government counterparts on intellectual property rights to share UK expertise and best practice, as well as providing support to UK businesses that have concerns related to IP protection in China.
During this briefing Samuel will provide an update on China’s Intellectual Property landscape for business, including some of the trends that the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) team are witnessing on the ground in China. The IPO will also be keen to gather feedback from business on both the challenges and positive changes they are seeing for intellectual property rights in China. Some of the topics to be covered include:
- Recent trends within China’s IP landscape, and an overview of the future trends for IP rights in China.
- Overview of the support offered by the Intellectual Property Office on the ground in China.
