CBBC Two Sessions Debrief
The China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) invites you to join our briefing on the upcoming Two Sessions on Thursday, 12 March 2026. The briefing will be hybrid with the option to attend in-person at CBBC’s Beijing office or online.
The National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) will kick off on 4th March and the National People's Congress (NPC) will kick off on 5th March in Beijing.
2026 marks the starting year of the 15th Five-Years Plan, it’s expected to review and draft outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development during the two sessions. The government report is expected to propose work targets for 2026, including GDP growth, inflation, deficit targets and arrangements for monetary and fiscal policies. These policies aim to expand domestic demand and stabilise momentum for both local and international businesses.
CBBC has invited a panel of leading experts to share their insights, including Dr Yue Su, Principal Economist, Economist Intelligence Unit, Chucheng Feng, Partner, Hutong Research, and Lucille Liu, Reporter, Bloomberg News. Our panel will discuss the outcomes from this year’s Two Sessions and provide analysis on the political and economic implications for UK business.
