The China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) would like to invite you to join our CBBC Legal Advisory Programme. Focusing on IP Protection, the first event of the programme will be held on Wednesday, 10 July 2024 at CBBC Beijing office.
Speakers from the Commercial Legal Service Center of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and UK Bird & Bird will share expertise and insights related to IP protection and strategies in China by the case studies. Attendees are welcome to raise your relevant questions during the Q&A session.
This event is free for CBBC members and chargeable for non-members.

About the Speakers
Tang Yi
Director, Intellectual Property Office, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Commercial Legal Service Center
Tang Yi has been Head of Intellectual Property Office since 2021 with extensive experience in conducting applied research and providing public service in intellectual property. Prior to this, she was Deputy Director of Legal Consulting Office from January 2020 to December 2021. Ms. Tang has been serving CCPIT Commercial Legal Service Center since 2010, which is specialized in foreign-related IP service, commercial legal consultancy, commercial mediation, dispute resolution and applied legal research, constituting an important legal department of CCPIT.
Dorie Wong
Partner, Bird & Bird
Dorie is a partner in our China Intellectual Property Group, based in our Beijing office. Dorie’s practice covers all aspects of intellectual property registration, maintenance, enforcement, litigation and commercialisation in the Greater China region.
Dorie is a solicitor qualified in Hong Kong and have more than 15 years of experience working in China. Dorie works extensively with international clients for their business in China and Chinese clients for going overseas.
Dorie has extensive experience in managing IP portfolios for clients from start-ups to multinational companies, particularly brand selection, strategies for registration, rebranding, enforcement matters, Internet takedowns and domain name enforcement, trademark licensing and transactions, and brand protection/anti-counterfeiting. Dorie advises clients across a range of sectors including retail & consumer, hotel & hospitality, financial and media, entertainment & sports.
As part of Dorie’s IP practice, she leads Bird & Bird’s Beijing IP Agency and works closely with its association PRC firm Lawjay in all sorts of IP litigation matters.
