A Brief Introduction to the Fifth Silk Road International Exposition and the Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation between East and West China
In order to implement the important instructions for '' Developing the SRIE'' given by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his two visits to Shaanxi, the Fifth Silk Road International Expostion and the Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation between East and West China (Hereinafter referred to as the Fifth SRIE) will be held in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China from May 11 to 15, 2021.
Under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for A New Era, the fair is focused on thoroughly carrying out the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Plenary Sessions of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC, earnestly implementing the requirements of the important speeches made by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his two visits to Shaanxi, further strengthening the “Four Consciousnesses”, firming the “Four Self-Confidences”, and achieving the “ Two Maintenances”, deeply integrating into the large pattern of jointly building the “Belt and Road”, striving to create a highland of inland reform and opening-up, accelerating the formation of the national channels , trade and logistics hubs, important industries and cultural exchange bases for Central Asia, South Asia and West Asia, building an international trade gallery with high efficiency, low cost and excellent service in inland areas, and speeding up the establishment of a “dual circulation” development pattern in which domestic economic cycle plays a leading role while international economic cycle remains its extension and supplement.
The fair is co-sponsored by the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Commerce, All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, State Administration for Market Regulation, and the government of Shaanxi Province. With the theme of "Interconnection, Contribution and Shared Benefits", it is composed of some international conventions, such as the opening ceremony and International Cooperation Forum for the Silk Road Economic Belt, China-Central Asia Local Cooperation Symposium and Xi’an Roundtable for the Silk Road International Chamber of Commerce, and seven exhibitions, namely, the International Pavilion, China Pavilion, Shaanxi Pavilion, Intelligent Manufacturing Pavilion, Green Industry Pavilion, Cultural Industry Pavilion, and Rural Revitalization Pavilion, which are set up at Xi’an International Convention and Exhibition Center, with an exhibition area of 72,000 square meters. Relevant countries along the “Belt and Road” and China’s Sichuan Province and Hebei Province as well as Baoji City and Yulin City are asked to act as the guests of honor.
