CBBC Incorporation Service
What is CBBC’s Incorporation Service?
- A one-stop shop for setting up your enterprise in China, combining top drawer legal advice from UK legal firm Stephenson Harwood, with strategic advice and practical guidance from CBBC.
- The service is designed to meet all the legal and administrative requirements of setting up your business in China, freeing you up to handle vital practical and operational concerns such as site location, marketing and staff.
How does CBBC’s Incorporation Service work?
- CBBC China provides pre-incorporation advice, providing a road map of the set-up process, time table and documents required, and also assisting with finding a location and introduction to local officials
- Stephenson Harwood looks after the legal process of incorporation, such as appointing the filing agent, preparing supporting documents and applying for and securing the business license
- CBBC then assists with post-incorporation formalities and registrations related to foreign exchange, tax and customs, opening bank accounts, injecting capital, securing corporate chops etc.
What does the Service Include?
- All steps in the registration process of a Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise (WFOE) or Foreign Invested Commercial Enterprise (FICE), plus the usual post-registration formalities required, such as tax registration, customs and VAT registration.
- The scope of the service does not cover preparation of any legal agreements or other work that is not directly related to the incorporation (eg. shareholder, lease & employment agreements, IPR issues; off-shore holding companies etc.)
How long does it take?
- After the submission of all relevant documents, it usually takes around 2-3 months to obtain a business license (this may vary according to sector and locality).
- Registration of a FICE takes longer - normally at least 3-4 months after the submission of documents.
