China is one of the world's fastest growing and fastest changing economies. It is vital to keep up-to-date with the latest developments and keep building your contacts in industry and government. The China-Britain Business Council provides a range of unique and influential networking opportunities in addition to its ability to lobby the highest levels of both British and Chinese governments on behalf of British business.
Seminars and Briefings
Working with government, trade associations, chambers of commerce, regional development agencies, and other China-interested organisations, CBBC arranges a wide range of seminars and briefings covering topical, professional, market or political issues relevant to China business development. These may be focused on specific regions, market segments, or technical subject industries. Contact CBBC for the current calendar of events.
Conferences
Each year CBBC organises a number of high-profile conferences to address issues of current interest to UK companies trading with China. These events involve senior political leaders as well as business and industry experts. They provide companies with unique opportunities to meet prominent China business figures and access valuable expertise.
Meetings with Chinese VIP's & Trade Delegations
CBBC organises opportunities for UK based companies to meet senior Chinese leaders. Such occasions range from the only business event for the Chinese Vice-President, Hu Jintao, during his visit to the UK, to small round table discussions with visiting Chinese ministers and other senior leaders.
CBBC also arranges meetings to introduce visiting senior Chinese political and business missions to UK based companies. This is an effective way of making essential business contacts which can then be followed up in China.
Members' Workshops - Lobbying for British Business Interests
Organised on a regular basis, workshops provide CBBC members with the opportunity to discuss the practicalities of doing business in China and exchange information on recent market developments or specific business topics. Workshops are led by professionals or experts in their field. Lobbying for British Business Interests CBBC lobbies the British and Chinese governments on behalf of its members on issues important for the development of China-Britain business.
