Having benefited from CBBC's Launchpad scheme to get your China business off to a good start, you are probably ready to establish a larger representation with your own staff and an independent identity. Alternatively, you may have strong trading links with China, can see the opportunity for your business to prosper and wish to open a representative office straight away.
Although this is probably the most logical step for you to take, setting up a representative office in China can be a laborious task. There is no such thing as Companies House. To register your office you will need a whole set of documents, obtained in the right order and authorised by different government bureaux, to be able to complete the process. You will also have to rent office space in order to get your business licence and you will need a local sponsor.
CBBC has long experience of working in China. We opened our first office there 20 years ago. We have a streamlined process and the right contacts with government departments and other officials to help you set up your representative office in the shortest possible time and with the minimum of fuss. We will take care of the practical details so that you can concentrate on getting your business up and running.
