CBBC Covid-19 announcement - CBBC UK to adopt home working until further notice

Yesterday UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson gave an official statement in which he called for “people to start working from home where they possibly can.”

In the light of this statement and response measures being taken throughout the UK to combat the spread of Covid-19, the CBBC has taken a decision to mandate that our team throughout the UK work from home until further notice.  This is a significant step which we have taken only after careful consideration to enable us to discharge our duty of care to staff. Therefore the opportunity from CBBC’s side to hold face to face meetings or to offer offline events will be restricted throughout the UK for the foreseeable future.

However, we believe that our remote working solutions are robust and will now stand us in good stead to support our members and partners throughout these challenging circumstances. We have the experience of our China team to draw on and are operating at full capacity. Our teams in both UK and China remain highly committed to providing you with practical guidance and insights to navigate the challenges that lie ahead to your businesses.

Our offices in China with the exception of Wuhan are open and in the Covid-19 business resumption phase in line with Chinese government regulations.

In the meantime and in advance, thank you for your patience and understanding. We hope that you and your families stay safe and healthy, and are looking after each other. If we have any further updates, we will keep you posted.
