China’s Digital Consumer 2020: Webinar Series

China is the world’s largest e-commerce market, with sales projected to hit £1.2 trillion by 2020, compared to just £500 trillion in the US. Growth in consumption is now the greatest driver of China’s GDP growth, and online sales grew at a staggering 23.9% in 2018 according to official government figures. This is thanks to China’s more than 800 million internet users (more than the EU and the United States combined), 98% of whom access the internet predominantly via mobile.

Whilst reaching the digital consumer in China can be a multifaceted and complex task, they are an essential target of foreign businesses in pursuit of the largest online retail market in the world, and the largest consumer of luxury good globally.
