Ellie combines professional services expertise and on-the-ground knowledge gained from a career in strategy and operations for international businesses. A fluent mandarin speaker, she has worked in China (mainland and Hong Kong), the UK, USA, Philippines and Singapore. Ellie’s professional experience prior to QIVA includes Thompson Reuters and Monitor Deloitte, the strategic consulting boutique.
Julia Caroline Schmidt
Head of Salus, Greater China & Asia
Julia joined Salus in August 2019. Prior to Salus, Julia worked for a German online retailer for baby and children products, Windeln, and was responsible for their expansion into the Chinese market. Her experience also includes representing August Storck, the German sweets and confectionary manufacturer, as their North Asia Business Unit Manager during which she spent time living in both Shanghai and Singapore. Julia holds a MSc in International Management from LSE.
Export Manager, Salus
Xiao joined Salus as their Export Manager for China in June 2020. Prior to joining Salus, Xiao worked for Gemany’s largest coffee manufacturer and distributor, Tchibo, where she was responsible for the exploration of new business opportunities and establishment of their China marketing strategy. Her experiences also include managing the Tmall Global store for Windeln, a German, online mother & baby retailer. Xiao is originally from Beijing, China and moved to Germany in 2009. She graduated from the Magdeburg University in Germany, with MA degree in Audiovisual Communication and Culture.
SALUS-Haus is a German company that manufactures herbal health food products, herbal infusions, medicines and OTC drugs, including the popular brand, Floradix. Founded in 1916 by Dr. Med. Greither, the company has been manufacturing health food products for over a century. To this day, SALUS Haus is still a family run business and is run by the founder’s son Otto Greither, alongside his fellow director, Dr. Florian Block who is married to the granddaughter of Otto Greither. SALUS Haus has grown to employ over 400 people at their headquarters in Bruckmühl, Germany.
