Doing Business in China

Supported Event

August 20
This seminar is targeted to those companies who are intending to join the exciting mission led by Derby and Derbyshire Councils, the Midlands Engine and DIT to the World Manufacturing Convention in Hefei, Anhui Province in September this year.

The session will ensure companies are well prepared to make the most of this opportunity.

China is shifting its business focus from being a manufacturer of quantity to one of quality. This is providing new opportunities for UK exporters, as well as for innovative UK businesses, to add value to the manufacturing supply chain.

Councillor Tony King, Cabinet member for Economic Development and Regeneration, Derbyshire County Council:

‘Developing international links to help local businesses to grow and be more productive is one of our key priorities and the Chinese Government is placing a lot of emphasis on growing trading relationships.

‘Derby and Derbyshire has an established relationship with Anhui Province and its capital Hefei, so there really is no better time for local firms to explore doing business with China’.

There has never been a better time for companies to engage with China.
